I’ve actively studied yoga since 2008. The last years I've both studied and practiced yoga heavily influenced by martial arts which, in my opinion, gives even greater benefits to the yoga practicing hockey player in terms of sports specific movement dynamics.

Due to my new interest my final essay for the teacher training was about yoga for hockey players. In 2013 I started to work with the SHL team Örebro Hockey. What began as a pre season practice quickly turned into weekly sessions the whole year around.
Since then, even though it's not a long time, I've worked with both teams and individual players, I've met and talked to coaches and consultants, Washington Capitals goalie coach Mitch Korn, Thomas Magnusson from Sweden Hockey Institute, Thomas Karlsson physiotherapist Tre Kronor among others.
They have all contributed to the continual development of my work with Yoga for Hockey Players.
Part from watching hockey I have put on skates again after being away from the ice some twenty years. I am grateful for every lesson I get from my husband who was an active player until his late teens.
I wanted to do this to not only have the visual analytical understanding of the movements of a hockey player but also get more of a physical feeling.
Next step is to put on the goalie gear, I can hardly wait!
